Rio Azul is currently endeavouring to become part of the “Mozambique Bird Atlas Project” which is a project in collaboration with the “Endangered Wildlife Trust” to update information on local birds. To this end Rio Azul is currently compiling a list of birds sighted and we encourage our guests to note all and every existing and new sighting. All in all, Rio Azul is still one of the most exciting and unspoilt birding destinations available on the sub-continent.
